More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a broad range of experience caring for children in both creative and home settings. As a teenager, I regularly babysat children ages 2 to 10, where I was responsible for their daily routines including playtime, meals, baths, naps, and bedtime. In college I spent two summers as a teacher at ONE Arts in Vermont, leading art projects for children ages 5 to 12. I managed the needs and safety of groups of around 15 children, and organized outdoor activities such as walks to the park. I also worked for nine months as a teaching artist intern at KidsArts, supporting children ages 5 to 13 during free time, assisting with art sessions, and helping to maintain a clean, engaging, and welcoming environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to nurture, lead, and connect with children across a wide age range.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a variety of activities with children that spark creativity, curiosity, and joy. I especially love making art together such as painting, drawing, or crafting. I love exploring music through singing, rhythm games, or simple instruments. I also enjoy cooking or baking simple recipes with kids, which is a fun and hands-on way to teach them practical skills. Outdoor play and exploration are also favorites of mine, whether it's going for nature walks, playing at the park, or just being outside and observing the world together. I value creating experiences that are both fun and meaningful for children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is making sure the kids feel safe and cared for. It’s about being patient and really paying attention to what they need, whether that’s helping them with something, listening, or just being there. I want to build a connection with them so they feel comfortable, happy, and confident to be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment working with kids was teaching a 5-year-old how to sew in an art workshop. We started with a plastic needle to help her get comfortable. Each week, she made steady progress and was so excited to come to class. By the end of the workshop, she could confidently use a real needle. I showed her how to do the stitches step by step and helped when she needed it but she did all the work and learning herself. It was an honor to help her learn and see her confidence grow. I equally had as much fun teaching her and she did learning!
