I enjoy a mix of fun and educational indoor and outdoor activities with children. Indoors, I love reading stories, arts and crafts, puzzles, building blocks, singing songs, dancing, and helping with homework and learning games. Outdoors, I enjoy park time, playground, nature walks, bike rides, playing tag, hide and seek, soccer, and exploring. I also like to include creative activities like baking simple treats together, science experiments, and imaginative play. I always make sure activities are safe, age appropriate, and fun while also helping children learn and stay active.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and providing a safe, loving, and stable environment where children feel secure and valued. For me, it is about more than just supervision, it is about genuinely caring for their emotional and developmental well being, being patient, consistent, and being someone parents can fully trust with their most precious ones.
My experience with special needs children...
I have been a dedicated special needs nanny, in my 13 years as a nanny and childcare provider I have cared for children with different learning styles, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays. I have experience with children who need extra patience, attention, and structure, including children with ADHD, speech delays, and sensory sensitivities. I am very patient, calm, and understanding, and I adapt my care to meet each child's individual needs. I am comfortable following care plans from parents and therapists, and I am willing to learn and receive training to provide the best support for any child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when a 3 year old I cared for who was very shy at first ran to hug me at the door and said I am his best friend. We had spent weeks reading, singing, and doing puzzles to help him feel safe and confident. Seeing him grow from shy to happy and talkative was so rewarding. Moments like that remind me why I love being a nanny, being trusted and loved by a child is the best feeling.
