More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
At Loring Elementary School, I developed and implemented daily schedules and lesson plans, ensuring diverse, engaging activities. I also prepared monthly activity calendars and newsletters and taught groups of six or more students while supervising others. I directed Child Care Assistants in behavior management and daily tasks. Additionally, I served as a liaison between Program Coordinators and Child Care Assistants, evaluated lesson plans, administered first aid, and maintained regular communication with families.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have experience in planning activities that meet all the different key learning areas. However I also find it very important to have fun! I love going outdoors, science experiments, random dance parties, and imaginative play. I excel in art and creativity activities but enjoy doing all of them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the child/children are safe at all times. I find it vital to create a fun learning space, where children feel comfortable to make mistakes! It is also crucial to me that I help make this world a better place, I think the best way to do so is to help shape the minds of our future adults.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with students with all different needs. In summer of 2024 I worked in a level 3 behavior school. I gained experience in behavioral intervention, working with students to meet their needs on a daily basis, as well as working with families to create support plans and helping staff Implement the plans.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was sitting with one of my students playing with play-dough when she turned to me and said "Ms.Oriana I think you are the best teacher here I said " Thank you! you are an amazing student." she replied with" seriously though you are nice and never get mad at anyone". Moments like this really bring me joy and I will remember them forever.
