More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a teacher for 8 years. I have also cared for close relatives with 0-3 months old babies. Some of the things I did include: bathing the child, caring for the mom, feeding the child, changing diapers and comforting the child etc
As a teacher, I have help with teaching, feeding, assisting, comforting, etc. I worked mostly with kids 1-7 years during my elementary school experience and I worked with older kids when I taught in middle and high school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, writing, drawing , painting or coloring, singing, playing with toys, taking walks, watching cartoons, play drama with dolls etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have three most important things that guide my responsibilities as a nanny
1. Safety- The safety of the child under my care comes before anything else.
2. Needs/nurture- The second thing I pay attention to is the need of the child under my care including physical, mental and emotional needs.
3. Nurture and Support- As a nanny, I pay attention to nurturing the kid under my care by reflecting positive values. I also provide a supportive environment that will make them feel free, safe and expressive.
Some activities I explore with kids under my care include reading, art (drawing and painting), playing, taking walks, etc. Most importantly, I pay attention to the parent’s needs for their child including activities the parents are open to and comfortable with. This way, I can ensure that the children and their parents are equally satisfied.

My experience with special needs children...
I have only cared for special needs children in the teaching environment. I’ve had few students with special needs in a middle school classroom and in an elementary school classroom. I didn’t do much in terms of caregiving. I mostly gave personal guidance and support with academics activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite Nanny moment was when I had to bath and feed my aunts one-week-old baby. She was so small and fragile but those days were magical. Today, when I see how much she has grown, I always remember her in my arms looking tiny and vulnerable. Those moments taught me care and other important details required in caring for infants. 👶
