More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began my childcare journey as a babysitter, which I have been doing for the last 11 years. During this time, I also worked for the Goddard School in Columbia, MD. When the pandemic hit, I began working as a nanny for 2 wonderful children, and then moved on to working as a Nature Teacher at Wild Child Association in Columbia MD.

After leaving Wild Child, I moved to Salisbury, MD where I received my degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Outdoor Education Leadership. I now work for the MD Coastal Bays Program as an environmental educator. There, I primarily run environmental and STEM summer camps for children and teens, and implement environmental education in summer schools across Worcester County.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of my favorite times with children are when they are exercising their imagination through art. So bring on the play-doh, slime, and paints!

As an environmental educator, I strongly encourage outdoor play. This means that as your nanny, your children will be playing at the park, drawing outside with chalk, going to the zoo, and overall becoming more in tune with their outdoor environment.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience working with children with special needs in a variety of settings. As a babysitter, I have provided long-term care for multiple children with autism. I have also worked with students given IEPs in school settings. Most recently, I provided caretaking assistance to a young woman with a developmental disability.
