More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been working with children since I was 16 and have experience in early childhood classrooms, youth support, babysitting, and volunteer childcare. I started at Primrose School of Littleton, where I became Pyramid Plus certified, and later worked at Treasureland, where I earned my Level 2 credential. I also worked with YAP Inc. supporting young teens with treatment plan goals.

I have classroom experience with ages 2–4, including time at The Gardner School, Warren Village, and my current 2.5–3.5-year-old classroom. I am Level 3 qualified through PDIS/Colorado Shines and have experience supporting children with differing abilities and adverse backgrounds. I also babysit children from 6 weeks to 13 years old and currently volunteer in the nursery room at Free Recovery Community.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a wide variety of activities with children, especially activities that let them explore, create, and learn through play. I love arts and crafts, sensory play, messy play, puzzles, reading books, science experiments like sink or float, and activities that build new vocabulary. I also really enjoy being outside with kiddos, whether that means going on walks, playing at the park, exploring nature, or noticing the world around us together. I like planning activities that are fun but also help children grow in confidence, curiosity, communication, and independence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building trust with both the child and the family. I am caring for the most important person in a parent’s life, and I take that responsibility seriously. Children need to feel safe, loved, and understood, but parents also deserve to feel confident, respected, and included. I believe strong communication, consistency, and partnership with families are just as important as the care I give day to day. My goal is to support the child’s growth and emotional well-being while also giving parents peace of mind.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for and supporting children with differing abilities, including children with developmental delays, communication needs, sensory needs, and autism. I focus on building trust first, learning each child’s cues, and meeting them where they are. I have used tools like visual support, simple signs, routine, patience, and calm one-on-one connection to help children communicate, feel safe, and participate more confidently. I believe every child deserves to be understood, supported, and given the time and tools they need to thrive.
