A little bit about me

Hello I am a 61yr young, parent of 2 adult children and the grandparent of 4 grandsons ranging in age from 2yrs to 17yrs of age. I have taken care of 12 children in my career most are grown ups with their own children now. I have found love, peace, and joy in caring for children, I have taken care of children on the autism spectrum which brought me great joy, as well as knowledge about autism. I have been an advocate for all of the children I have cared for over the years, some of whom are still a part of my life until this very day. I believe it was my calling from a young child. I am also a chef by trade, I love to cook and I love having children in the kitchen learning to cook. Being outdoors is a must for me and for children, I love music, arts and crafts, gardening, painting, reading, movie time, and family time, no phones no television just family game nights, movie nights with family. My mission is to bring joy and laughter and love choose me, you won't be disappointed.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taken care of 12 children in my tenure as a nanny. I Love children and they definitely know it. Some of these children are adults now with their own children and we are still connected until this very day. I take pride in the care and love that I share with any children, be it as a nanny or a babysitter. I believe I was born to advocate and care for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to swim, read, arts and crafts, garden, cook, dance, sing, create, play, in essence I could be a big kid. I enjoy entertaining children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The hugs, the love, the cohesiveness all of these things are so very important to being a great person not just a nanny. Caring and genuine admiration for the work you perform make a big difference in the lives of lil people.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for 3 autistic children that are siblings 2boys, 1 girl. The girl being the eldest and high functioning on the spectrum. The middle boy was on the very low spectrum, non- verbal, touch sensitive. And violent at times. The youngest was in the middle of the spectrum, very good boy, pleasant to work with and he became a very close friend to my eldest grandson they are still close now at the present time. They all have grown up, unfortunately they lost their mother tragically. I tried to get custody of them but to no avail. The youngest father came for him. No one came for the eldest or the middle boy. I have tried to find them to no avail. That's how much I really cared for and about them.
