Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have spent most of my years being a single parent since before my 3rd, my daughter, was born. Being on my own with 3 small children was quite a challenge but I loved every minute of it. Now all 3 are on their own & doing well, no police issue or any other things. Both my boys went to Job Corp & then the Military for 4 yrs each & are doing well. My daughter works the same job for near 9 yrs now & bought a house Feb 2020.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Any and everything. Games, going to libraries, museums, parks, watch movies, teach cooking, painting, coloring, arts & crafts, gardening, pets, hobbies, etc.

Being eclectic about many things, non-judgmental, but minding the parent's preferences. Having patients and fortitude with all situations. Being knowledgeable enough to take every moment to teach and guide them the best way to do things and understand life. Being a rudder as to a ship in a vast ocean and hope they truly find their way.

Any time that you get to see the light bulb turn on when the kids have learned something brand 'new' or clarifying their understanding of something confusing. Then see how proud they are that they can do these things on their own or even discover a better way, their own way of achieving or developing these things, being able to create their own story.
