Hi my name is Patricia. I'm very experienced with being a nanny. My first time getting to experience this was when my cousins lived with my family and I when I was younger. I was in charge of watching 6 children 5 days a week. As I got older, I got my first babysitting gig where I watched a 1 year old little girl and a sick elderly man. I prepared meals and cleaned the house as needed. My most recent nanny experience was when I was taking care of a 50 year old woman with downsydrome. I helped bathe her, prepared all meals, took her to appointments as needed, etc. I love being around children and adults and am always willing to help out!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I use to take care of a 50 year old woman with downsydrome for a little over a year. These tasks came with bathing, cleaning, cooking, and driving her to and from appointments and classes. I also use to watch over 2 young children and an elderly man. At the time the children were 6 months & 2 years of age. These tasks included: bathing, cleaning, cooking, activities, etc. I watched these children and elderly man for about 2 years. The most kids I've watched at a time was about 6 children. Ages ranging from 1 year to 15 Years old.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is bonding with the children you are around. Making sure they are also comfortable with seeing a new unfamiliar face!

My experience with special needs children...

I do have experience with special needs and handicapped individuals. I have family who have special needs kids, I have had the pleasure of taking care of. I use to also care for a 50 year old woman who had downsydrome. I'm first aid certified. I'm trained in knowing how to know what to do and how to handle someone who has a seizure.
