A little bit about me

Hi Families! My name is Tricia and I'm 23 years old, pursuing a Marketing degree in the evenings as well as my real estate license in Va.I grew up in VA and relocated to Bethesda last year and work for two wonderful families in a full time nanny-share. Duties range from cooking and snack preparation, light cleaning, sleep/potty training, school pick-up/drop-off, and plenty of creative play! I very much enjoy the outdoors, as well as planning arts and crafts, story times, and fostering a sense of independence in the children I care for. I've been a professional nanny for 5 years, working with ages 9mo-12 yrs old, including twins and those with special needs/diets. I also have my pediatric certification for first-aid, CPR, and AED from the Red Cross and a reliable car. As of 3-6 I am fully vaccinated for Covid, but continuing to monitor CDC guidelines. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to discussing further what your family is looking for!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

5 + years working with multiples, twins, and children with special needs from ages 9 mo-12 years old.
Experienced volunteer work with the Write To Read organization

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m always excited to plan arts and crafts, educational activities that balance out with creative play, and taking daily outings to libraries, parks, and fostering healthy socialization in general.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Fostering a sense of independence in each child I care for.

My experience with special needs children...

I am very comfortable working with children who may have extra hurdles to jump. I have three years of experience working with a child who was on the Autism spectrum as well as Dyslexic. We worked one on one daily to reach her grade level reading expectations.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This year when one of the toddlers I’m currently caring for started potty training, he gave me the shock of my life! I was in the midst of making lunch when he walked up to me and said he’d gone poo all my himself in the bathroom. I was so excited and ran to his potty to check, only to see he completely missed and did his business NEXT to the potty. He was so proud of himself I couldn’t tell him he did it wrong!

Babysitter Available in Bethesda, MD: Capri L.

Hi! My name is Capri. I am a Ph.D. student with a background as a therapist, private homeschool teacher, tutor, wellness facilitator, and autism-informed caregiver. I love childcare because caregiving has always felt natural to me as the oldest of five children. I enjoy creating calm, safe, and nurturing spaces where children feel supported, understood, and encouraged.
My experience includes infant care, private homeschool teaching for teenage twins, tutoring, after-school care across multiple DMV locations, nonprofit youth programming, and wellness sessions for children and teens. I also have autism-informed/RBT-based experience.
I have CPR training, hands-on infant care experience, and training in emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, child/adolescent support, crisis awareness, behavioral support, and developmentally appropriate communication.
I am plant-based and bring a gentle, wellness-centered approach to care.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Bethesda, MD: Candice B.

Career nanny with 15+ years experience looking to partner with a great family. The love for my job is reflected by the care that I give to my littles and the relationships formed with the family’s. Reading is one of my passions and I’ve been fortunate to share that with the tikes I care for (and it's paid off, they all love books). I stay active and engaged (not on the phone), I am fully present. My references can speak for the enjoyment I get out of spending time with my kiddos as well as my character, dependability, patience, safe care and the love my little humans are showered with.

After 7 yrs full time with my current family (3 yrs live-out Hoboken, NJ /4yrs live-in Chevy Chase) the twins have now joined O. in school full time. It’s a heartbreaking transition when you’re not seeing these little faces every day, however I am excited to connect with new little people and explore life with them.

Also, new parents have always found me to be an asset and I take pride in that.
