A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Patrick, and I've been a babysitter for 7 years with experience caring for children of all ages-from infants to teenagers. I truly enjoy being active with kids, whether that's playing outside, doing crafts, or coming up with fun activities that keep them engaged and learning.

I'm currently in graduate school at Santa Clara University, where I'm studying Counseling Psychology, which has deepened my passion for supporting kids and families. Parents often describe me as reliable, responsible, and caring, and I have many references available upon request.

I'd love the opportunity to provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment for your children!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience working at a re-entry program for formerly incarcerated individuals, where I helped care for their children during supervised visits. In this role, I created a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for kids of different ages while fostering positive family interactions. This experience strengthened my skills in patience, empathy, and adaptability—qualities I bring to every childcare position.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids engaged through a mix of creative and active activities. Some of my favorites include fun crafts like perler beads and friendship bracelets, which are great for building focus and creativity. I also enjoy getting outside to play basketball, run around, or explore the park, helping kids stay active and have fun. Whether we’re crafting, playing games, or reading together during quiet time, I enjoy creating a balance of activities that let kids express themselves and feel supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where kids can thrive. For me, that means building trust with both the children and parents, encouraging creativity and curiosity, and being a reliable presence in their daily routine. I believe a nanny’s role goes beyond supervision—it’s about nurturing growth, fostering confidence, and making kids feel cared for and valued.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with ADD/ADHD and anxiety. I focus on creating a structured, supportive, and encouraging environment that helps each child feel comfortable and capable. Through patience, consistency, and engaging activities, I work to build confidence, foster independence, and support their individual needs while making sure they feel understood and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was helping the kids plan a surprise anniversary dinner for their parents. We made a fun menu together, picked out recipes, and cooked the meal as a team. It was such a special experience watching the kids take pride in creating something meaningful for their family, and it reminded me how much I love turning everyday moments into lasting memories.
