Hello. My name is Patty. I am a career nanny with over 30 years of experience as an Early Childhood Caregiver. In the past I have been a Toddler teacher & Preschool teacher & also a paraprofessional. The last 25 yrs I have been a nanny. It has been a wonderful experience. I love being a nanny and experiencing your child's early learning years with you & becoming a part of your team.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a Preschool Teacher & Infant /Toddler teacher before becoming a nanny. I also have volunteered for Horizons Initiative & as a Big Sister for 6 years. I am an Auntie to 6 (grown now) nieces & nephews and am.in very close contact with a few of my past nanny families. It has been a joy.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading books, having circle time, singing songs, doing arts & crafts, sensory activities, outdoor play, fine motor activities, library visits, sing a longs, walks in nature, pretend play. All of it!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being a team player with the parents and having great communication--along with being a caring, nurturing, reliable caregiver & future role model for the children. I love seeing the kids hit their milestones & how curious they are & in awe of everything as they take part in their first learning experiences.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a special needs paraprofessional and respite care worker in the past. It was a wonderful learning experience and I truly love working with all abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When one of the kids that I cared for from age 10 months until middle school was applying for a private high school in Weston & chose me to write about--when asked about an influential person in their life:).
