Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love arts and crafts and doing activities outside, of course keeping in your comfort zone. experienced in taking multiple kiddos to trampoline, parks, indoor play places, library's, splash pads, beaches, pools, farms, you name it. also offer sensory play and preschool prep. I do know sign lenguage and spanish.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a babysitter is how you handle the different circumstances that exist at the passing of ages and behaviors with children, it is a big challenge but full of learning.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with many disabilities, with deaf children, with down syndrome, disabled, autistic, blind. I always seek to have good schedules with them, different activities and that they do not leave their comfort zone, that depends a lot on the family, I have to follow the guidelines that they have and it always varies.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think every moment is my favorite because I learn every day something different. work with kids is a happy world and courios world.

Babysitter Available in Washington, DC: Akel H.
Hi, my name is Akel Harrington. I have basically 18 years worth of childcare experience due to me having four siblings on my mother side and four siblings on my father side and being the oldest on both sides I had to grow up helping my mother and my father with my siblings which also helped me gain the natural skill of helping out with children, which led to me doing three years of paid babysitting/childcare. I am also good with kids with special needs because I also have one sibling on my mother side who has autism and another one of my dad side who has autism.

The activities I did with the older sister are, prepare snacks for her, take her to the playground, make her take a nap, give her lunch, take her to the bookstore, pick up books, take her to museums, go to the splash pads in the summer, do playdates.
