A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Payton and I am a 19 year old looking to help families with their children. I have a dream to become a children’s psychiatrist, but as of right now, I’d like to work with children 1 on 1 to be able to gain a little more experience as a nanny. I’ve been working with children since the age of 13; I worked as a children’s activities director at my campground until last year, and I have also continuously been babysitting. I have a great passion for helping others, especially children. I’ve worked as a line cook in restaurants so I am able to make healthy meals as well. Since I was young, I’ve always wanted to raise a family of my own and to this day I have the same wish. Working with children has not only brought forth the greatest aspects of me, but also has allowed me to heal the inner child within myself. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Since the age of 13, I have worked as a director in activities for children at a campground. I have also been a babysitter since the same age, working with children of all ages. I’ve worked at day camps, volunteered for parties and the overlook of children during events such as Christmas parties, New Year’s eve events, and so on.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As for indoor activities, I love to bring over some colouring books I’ve collected over time (children’s books), building legos or other building activities, crafts and hand-eye coordination activities. As for outdoors, I am ready to play just about anything that a child wants to get involved in. I am lifeguard trained, I love sports (I will always let them win), and I find obstacle courses are the best to keep kids interested!
