During Covid-19 and my 8th grade year, after everything was shut down I cared for a 2-year-old girl Monday- Friday 8am-12pm while her mom worked from home.
My responsibilities were:
- Provide breakfast and sometimes lunch
- Getting her ready for the day
- Provide activities and keep her entertained.
- Limit scree time
- Spend time outside
- Pick up her toys
When I was still in School and enrolled in my Early Childhood Ed courses my main responsibilities were:
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
-Monitor and ensure children safety
- Lesson plan (preparing and teaching lessons to aid in the development of each age group)
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Assist in feeding each child
- Providing personal hygiene (changing diapers and clothes)
- Putting children down for nap time

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going on walks and taking kids to the playground. It's a great way to burn energy and get some fresh air. Even just spending time in the backyard can be fun.
As for indoor activities I really enjoy drawing and coloring, playing with blocks or lego's, reading, making arts and crafts, etc.
I enjoy finding different ways to help the children I care for learn, while also making it fun for them and myself.
