I get to come along side the family and be a support. I also get to encourage the children and be there when the parents are at work.
Families are under a lot of pressure these days and some are not doing well, especially the children. And if I can help even one child it would make my day.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I was Nanny to 3 children. The middle child was not doing well in School or with his health. The Mom told me he only ate Mac and Cheese. With her permission I prepared healthy meals and I gave him what I gave the others. He was so happy to find that he like green peas. I also started helping him with his homework, at first it was hard and he cried. Soon he was reading a note I had taped to the back door, and forgot it there, to remind me to take the umbrella when I left. I heard someone reading the note and went to look and it was this same little boy. I was so happy, we had a celebration. That little boy started reading above his age group.
