Im Peyton, Im a Mother and a soon to be student, with a major in Psychiatry. Like a lot of people, my childcare journey started in highschool. AfterI had my Daughter in 2008, I decided to stay home and start caring for children professionally. I fell in love! I am not just here to babysit. I take the initiative to actually help mom and dad with important developmental milestones and educational building blocks.My goal is to make the transition to school a little easier.To name a few: establishing a healthy sleeping pattern for infants, sitting up, crawling/walking practice, potty training, ABC's, colors, and other basics, social skills, as well as kindness and integrity. I belive in getting outside and exsploring in the fresh air. I am patient, kind, empethetic and I even enjoy housework :) Ive had other jobs, but childcare makes me happy. Communication will always be a priority and you make the rules. Im just here to make life a little easier for you, providing comfort and security.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities include: baking/cooking together, arts and crafts, pretend play to encourage a healthy imagination, singing/dancing, creating a "tidy up" routine at the end of every playday, and of course reading and writing! I try to spark a love of words in them as early as possible. I really think good english comprehension skills and a passion for reading will make school a bit easier and more enjoyable. Outside activities: taking a daily walk after lunch before our nap everyday so we can get some fresh air and explore together. I really like to get them outside and active as much as possible so sprinklers, kiddy pools, and scavenger hunts in the summer and snowmen and sledding in the winter :) With permission of course I like to have a day at the park every so often, so that they can socialize with other kids and show them how to play and be kind to others. Bubbles, chalk and kites of course and eventually bikes :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a source of comfort and security for the parents. Leaving isnt easy, I hated it, thats why I started this. An extra person to love and care for your children in a way that meets your standards is what I strive for. And most importantly, being a kind, patient, loving and supportive figure in your childs life, one they feel they can rely on. Leaving a positive impact on your family is the main priority!

The most important part about being a nanny...

A few of my favorite moments are seeing how proud and excited they are when we learn something new, or we can do something all by themselves. When they acccomplish something and cant wait to show mom or dad at the end of the day. Thats so important for thier self esteem and how they see themselves, thats incredibly important to me. The giggles they cant help to get right before naps and the "What did I miss?" look with wild hair when they get up :) I could think of a million more! Never a dull moment
