More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to teach children safe horse behavior and volunteered for 4-H. I also worked as a camp counselor for a summer camp in my home state before moving.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Walking, drawing/painting, cooking, coloring, watching kids tv, reading and more! (Age defendant I enjoy going in fishing trips and hikes)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to become a mentor and friend for children while also providing safe and watchful care while their Parent(s) are working or out.

My experience with special needs children...

One of the farms I volunteered for was all “special needs” children and adults learning about animals and trust and bonding. We got to focus in safe handling and comfortable communication and expression while using horses and dogs as mediums to helps relaxation and trust form. These animals were also previously rehabilitation works in progress from abandonment or natural disaster. It was a very enriching experience. I’ve also done a reading buddy program where older class men in our school system would volunteer to read with younger class men, some as early as kindergarten.
