A little bit about me

Hello, I’m Pilar! I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and I am currently a college student studying elementary education in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have nannied for many families every summer since I was in 8th grade, and I was a nanny/tutor for a family with two elementary/middle school aged children during the pandemic. As the oldest child in a family with three children, I was introduced to being a caregiver from a young age and have made connections through family, friends, and neighbors that have allowed me to care for all types of families with newborns to teens. I am an elementary education major, which involves student teaching requirements and field experience. I work with students in large whole-class settings, as well as in small-groups. I also organized and co-led an after school class once a week in which another student teacher and I came up with educational games and practiced implementing classroom management techniques. I have nannied every summer since I was in middle school and have been babysitting since middle school as well.
