I was nannying for a little girl a few years ago. We were discussing things that come in two; two hands, two eyes, two ears. When it was the little girl's turn she said "two pokes in your nose." This was one of many hilarious and memorable moments. It was a testament to how young learners circumlocute as they make linguistic connections and an opportunity for me to introduce her to the word nostrils.
