Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a dance teacher and gymnastics coach for 8-10 years! I was a preschool teacher for about a year, and then became a teaching aide/assistant (1st grade) for the past 2 years. I have also worked at BOCES as a 1:1 aide with special needs children. Also, about 3 years ago I worked at Childtime Learning Center (daycare) as an Infant Teacher and provided care for babies age 2mo-14mo!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing various arts and crafts with kids; painting, drawing, coloring, and more in depth projects like homemade kaleidoscopes, binoculars, or books! I also enjoy dancing, free movement, being outside, and reading!

Providing the type of kind, empathetic and patient care that you would want for your children, as well as being firm on the routine any parent has set for their kid.

I have been a 1:1 aide for children in 12:3:3 programs, as well as babysat a child with cerebral palsy.

My favorite thing about being a teacher all these years is just to see all the growth a child makes! There is nothing like knowing their potential, and teaching them how to embrace it.
