More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Worked as a nanny for 3 children, 2 girls and one boy. Ages 11, 7, and 4 when I started. I would pick them up from school and take them home where I would prepare snacks, help with homework, and play games with them until their parents got home from work. During the summer time I worked full time and cared for the children all day. We often went to the neighborhood pool, picnics, played at the park, bike rides, etc. I liked to focus on keeping the kids engaged in our daily activities. Occasionally we would create obstacle courses with pillows or chalk outside, we would bake treats, do science experiments etc.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to play outside with kids (weather permitting) and usually that is my first choice. I also love to have karaoke and dance parties, play board games, play imaginative games. I like to find activities that engage all the children (if there is multiple).
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny to me is providing a safe and comfortable environment for the kids to be themselves and be comfortable even when mom or dad aren’t there. I really try my best to engage and connect with each kid one on one so they feel comfortable with me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments happened on a “date night”. I was watching my kids while their parents were out at a christmas party. I took the kids to see christmas lights and we drove around all the houses in their neighborhood blasting christmas songs. We sang the entire car ride and the younger kids absolutely loved seeing the lights.

Hi!! My name is Jocelyn, and I’m a 19 year old college student entering my second year at Texas Tech University here in Lubbock. I’ve always loved working with kids—I come from a big family, which has given me years of experience with children of all ages. On top of that, I’ve also cared for kids from families in surrounding towns back home. Moving to Lubbock for school has been such an exciting new chapter, and I’m looking to connect with a local family who needs a dependable, caring, and passionate nanny. I’m responsible, patient, and love creating fun, engaging activities for kids, whether that’s helping with homework, playing games, doing crafts, or spending time outside. I’m CPR certified and also a certified medical assistant. I’d be more than happy to help with light housekeeping, meal prep, and running errands as needed.
