A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Quinn! I'm 21, I've grown up with siblings that I've pretty much helped raise and have babysat on and off through my life. My brother is autistic so I have about 10 years of knowlege on how to care for and handle children on the spectrum, currently getting a certificate in psychology as well. I take a lot of pride in my work, I love being able to care for kids, make them food, play with them, watch their favorite TV show or movie, help with homework if they have any, the whole 9 yards. I'm dependable, love to help where and when I can, I love to clean, teach, dance *did ballet for 4 years*, draw, paint, etc. If you have pets that need care as well, can do that too! I've lived on a farm most my life and when I wasn't living on a farm, my family had a lot of different types of indoor animals.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to live in a small town, I babysat every week for one couple for about 5 months till I moved. I've babysat for friends who have children on the spectrum, I babysat for my dance teacher for a year as well

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Painting, playing with toys, drawing, watching movies or shows, going to the park, reading books, dancing, playing games of any kind, playing make-believe, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is making sure the kid(s) are always safe and cared for. Never take your eyes off them

My experience with special needs children...

Has mainly been children on the autism spectrum. I study psychology so it's gotten easier to understand how they work and how to work with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There was one 4 year old girl I babysat, she saw my makeup and wanted to play with it. Her mom didn't want her to wear any so I had her do my makeup instead! She had a great time, by the end of it I looked like a clown but it made the kid happy and laugh really hard, which in turn made me laugh really hard and super happy.
