Hello! My name is Rachael, I am an online college student pursuing a career in elementary education. I love working with children of all ages and am infant/toddler/preschool teacher certified. I currently work with toddlers aged 18mo-2.9yr at an early education center. I love art and music, and value freedom of expression. I believe healthy eating and plenty of physical activity should be a consistent routine implemented as early in life as possible. I love watching children learn and grow, and have a deep appreciation for silliness. I have 6 nieces (#7 on the way!) with the oldest being 10 year old twins. My girls, my fiance and my cats are my whole world!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked at two different early education centers, one with infants and toddlers and one with preschoolers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love art and crafting. I do a lot of painting. I love music and do frequent dance parties during class with my current toddlers. I have a deep appreciation for all forms of children's literature. I have also taken multiple courses on nature based learning and believe the best way for children to learn is to experience! Lots of outdoor time in all weather is key.

My experience with special needs children...

I have recently completed a class for children with special needs and have had the lucky opportunity to apply what I've learned to some high needs toddlers at my education center. I am extremely patient with all behaviors and learning styles and have found this to be extremely useful when it comes to working with special needs children.
