A little bit about me

I’m a 23 year old student working on my second degree in education grades k-6, with an extension of 7-9 for social studies. I am also a freelance photographer. I currently work for a family with two wonderful boys ages two and 5, but will be in need of a job once school resumes as they will both be attending early childhood day care and first grade! I am passionate about caring for children and it comes very naturally to me and always has since a young age. I’m a Buffalo NY native, and know surrounding areas very well. I am CPR and AED certified. I enjoy anything Disney, I love pets, and take pride in my creative skills. This year, I’ve constructed and gathered many crafts/activities for 5-year-old L and his schoolmate J as I assisted them during the week in virtual learning from September-June. I’m very well versed in kindergarten material and would love to offer any type of educational assistance for your children!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is making sure the children trust me and see me as the caregiver I want to be! Nothing makes me happier than a happy child, engaged in what they are doing. Making sure they have fun and are enjoying the most enriching and developmental times of their lives is also a top priority of mine. Making sure the parents are satisfied and trusting is also very important to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have little experience, but plan to be special Ed. certified at the end of my college career.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Was when C (2) finally said my name!! Watching him grow over the past year and being able to witness him become more verbal has been amazing. Seeing L (5) and his school friend J (5) successfully complete this very hard, weird, untraditional kindergarten year was also wonderful and validated and confirmed my passion for teaching.
