A little bit about me

I have worked for one family in the past, three children aged all under 7 when I began and duration of 3 years. The father developed failing health and due to travel to care for his condition, I worked an additional 2 years in an on call capacity at that time.

During these times my tasks were childcare, driving to sports events, cleaning, laundry, groceries, and meal prep.

Ive worked retail for 30+ years and have valuable experience as well as a part time position. I am looking for a schedule that fits around this position to supplement income.

In my retail experience I have many years of mgt experience with direct reports, cash handling, inventory, and store open/close duties. These tasks require accountable behavior with relevance to a family's resources and little loved ones, as well as pets.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked for a daycare many years ago with enrollment of 15 children daily. I was certified in CPR and first aid at the time, and can regain certification again if needed.

This included preschoolers through 8 years old, and preschool on site.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love helping little minds learn! Seeing the wonder and novel concepts children solve the world around them is an endearing quality I love to contribute to out of doors where appropriate, or through educational programs and internet discovery. Of course, I respect and strictly agree parents have every right amd responsibility to know what their children consume content wise in this capacity.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Taking care to be as responsible and loving as a support figure for children while their parents are away. Realize that children need stability and dependability to grow properly amd that you may be a part of their life unexpectedly for many years and be open to fulfill that role as needed.

My experience with special needs children...

The family i worked for had two children with developmental issues concerning speech and hearing. They had speech and recognition exercises to work on several times weekly, as well as spectrum autism in one child and adhd for the other two children.
