A little bit about me

As an educator, I enjoy to watch children grow and blossom. Children of all ages are so impressionable and willing to learn and experience new things. As your nanny I will work with you to care for your child and give them a stable, fun and structured environment when you are unable to be home with your child(ren). A time for reading occurs everyday. I believe reading is so important whether you are reading the books, identifying letters and words while flipping through or looking at the pictures. I also support and encourage imaginative play such as play kitchen, doll houses, puppet shows, etc. I truly believe that it is so important for children to use their imagination. Some activities that I tend to do most often are story-time at the library, play dates at the park and arts and crafts. I think it is so important to get children out of the house so that they learn the skills that are necessary when they are out and about. It is also fun for them to get out of the house.

"Rachael worked with our son since he was two months old until he was 2.5 years old and started Montessori school. She was not only a babysitter, she was his teacher. She was constantly researching ways to help him learn and grow and was not only great with him as a newborn and would do anything we asked without complaint, she grew with him into his toddler years and taught him to become an independent, respectful and well adjusted young man. Our son absolutely adores Rachael and I never had to worry about his safety with her - she is extremely safety-minded. Not only did she care for our son, she also cleaned our house, did all our laundry and grocery shopping each week with our son. She brought him to storytime at the library each week since he was very young and would take him on outings to parks/pools/etc as he got more active. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I taught for 3 years in public schools and also worked in daycare centers for 2 years. I have had plenty of babysitting jobs growing up and through school.

I’ve traveled to hostels where I worked with children and have also been inside schools outside of the country. (India and Dominican Republic)
