More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was recently employed at a childcare/preschool facility back in Clarksville, Tn, where I'm from, called The Youth Academy. I worked there for a little over 3 months and gained a lot of experience with children from ages 1-6, but my main focus was with toddlers 2-4. I am very excited to build upon my knowledge and work experience with children, so any tips or criticism you may have, I am 100% open to learning.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some activites that I absolutely enjoy doing with children would be artsy, creative types of activies such as painting, drawing, crafting and things in that feild. Another activity I love is playing with playdough, or anything squishy for that matter. Although some of these activities can get a bit messy at times, I feel that activities that are hands on are very important for the child's need of expression. It's also very fun and enjoyable for not only the child, but I as well!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think one of the most important things about being a nanny is setting a good example for the child because at the end of the day the child will repeat everything that you do to some degree. Another very important thing is to create a good bond with the child. What I've learned while working as an assinstant teacher at a childcare/preschool facility, caring for 17+ kids at times, is that showing respect and understanding towards the child is such an important factor in creating a great bond and will at most times be recipricated back.
