Hi families! My name is Rachel Fauth. I am currently studying to become a nurse and working as a part-time nanny for two families full time. I moved to Louisiana from Colorado this past January! I absolutely adore kids and have 4 nephews and 4 nieces back in Colorado. In my free time, I love exploring the outdoors, listening to music, and spending time with my family, friends, my boyfriend, and my dog, Ember. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have several years of babysitting experience and became an aunt at 11 years old, which gave me an early love for caring for children. I volunteered at a summer camp for several years, working with children ages 8–18 as both a girls’ dorm leader and kitchen staff member. In addition, I worked as a behavior technician for a year and a half, gaining experience supporting children with different needs and behaviors.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love staying active and keeping kids engaged! Some of my favorite activities to do with children include going on walks, visiting the park or library, swimming, going to the movies, reading books, coloring, crafts, playing games, spending time outdoors, and anything else they enjoy doing! I’m always happy to plan fun, age-appropriate activities based on their interests.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is meeting all of the child(ren)’s needs, caring for them well, and creating a fun and safe environment for them to learn and grow.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs in both professional and personal settings. Professionally, I worked as a behavior technician, and one of the families I currently nanny for has a child with special needs. I also have personal experience through some of my family members.
