I am a nanny for two sweet kids right now but have also been a paraprofessional in a school, a camp counselor, a children's ministry intern at a church, and have held many babysitting positions over the years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I consider myself to be a very hands on babysitter/nanny whether that be inside the home or even outside! I encourage all children to unplug and take time away from electronics. I enjoy playing board games, putting together puzzles, coloring, and pretend play. I also like to incorporate learning into whatever fun we are having. Outside with children I enjoy taking walks in nature, drawing on the sidewalk with chalk, and playing sports. I also love to take children on fun trips around town whether that be to a museum or even the park!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with a variety of different learning and behavioral challenges at all of the jobs I have worked. I have experience with children with autism, down syndrome, ADHD, and intense aggression.
