Hello, My name is Rachel, I’m from Atlanta GA, and I’m 26 years of age. I’ve been babysitting/nannying for about 8 years, 6 years for family/family-friends and then the other 2 years professionally for families. I’m all about fun, education, and structure! I love to have fun and allow the children to teach me while I’m teaching them. I would love to meet an amazing family/families in the area, and gain more experience. I also went to the University of Southern Mississippi for a year and took child fundamentals and child psychology intro courses. And I’m currently enrolled at Georgia Gwinnett college for a BS in exercise science with a minor in sociology.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is helping out and taking care of as much as possible or as I’m given. I’m very driven, and i know from experience that we all need a little help or even just extra help, and that’s what I intend to do! It’s an opportunity to learn new things, meet new people, and of course connect with the youth and help mold them.

My experience with special needs children...

For almost 2 years I helped a family friend lead these arts and crafts classes for children with special needs. We’d do it about 2-3 times a month, where about 3-7 kids ranging from ages 5-15 would come to the family friends house who was an artist and she’d have a different type of arts and craft activity set up. I was there to help and connect with the kids, kind of like a a paraprofessional or helper teacher. It was an amazing experience & i learned SO much during my time spent there.
