The most important part about being a nanny...
My number 1 will always be compassion and patience, becoming an auntie at such a young age I learned this early on and I was still a kid myself but I learned that with children you have to have to have those 2 main qualities. Every child is different so it’s best and important to learn them each individually and what makes them happy, sad, mad, scared things of this nature. You learn this not only for the benefit of the child but for you so you can know how yo better take care of your little angels as they’re in your care.
My experience with special needs children...
I’m very patient and compassionate with them. I treat them with as much respect, love, and fairness as the others. I try to spend one on one time with the to learn more about them and what works for them and what they’re comfortable with. But overall I enjoy spending time and having fun with them as I do all other kids
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve had many but I can honestly say one time I was working at a shelter and I was working with kids and as soon I came in to start my shift all the little kids ran up to me and was showing me their drawings. And I’ll always remember this special little boy made me the sweetest letter and just thanked me for giving him that extra love and attention, made him feel important and like he mattered. That was one of the best moments of my life
