More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Nanny (ages ranging from 3 months to 14 years) for 5 years whilst going through nursing school. Before doing full time nannying, I worked as a full time, live-in, volunteer for a refugee community where a lot of my work involved childcare for parents going to English classes. I also aided in the programs after school program for the school aged children, helping them with homework and other tasks.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning activities for the kiddos, from simple plans like walks around the park to planning out and creating lesson plans, it is always my goal to keep the kids active both mentally and physically. And because we all need our rest, I love planning low key, low stress days that allow for recuperation and reset.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My main goal is letting kids be kids. Letting them explore the world, expand their knowledge, and knowing that though they are little, their perspective of the world matters and what they have to say matters. I am big into holding on to your inner child as long as possible and fostering their wonder whilst also helping guide them.
