The most important part of being a nanny is not only taking care of someone else's kids but realizing different families have different views and needs. It is vital to not push my own ideals on anothers child, but rather take care of the children through their parents narrative and not my own. The second is actually creating a bond with families, children are very impressionable and It is important for them to know I am not just a babysitter but someone that cares for them.

I have a lot of experience caring for autistic children, mostly mild or mild severe on the spectrum. I have worked with older Deaf children as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One weekend I was staying at my boss's house while taking care of her 4 year old daughter. She was an absolute handful and needed constant attention but I did not mind one bit. I laid her down to go to sleep and woke up later to her having made me some very soggy cereal with gleaming pride on her face. It was a very sweet moment.
