I currently am working at tutor time Pleasantville it is a facility that caters to children from infants to pre k. I am currently working with toddlers kids from ages 18 month to 2 years in age.

I think the most important part of this job is making the safety and emotional well be of the children the priority. Keeping them safe, smiling and happy.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve never dealt with a child with disability full time, but I’d like to believe with hard work and proper care anything can be achievable when working with kids. Definitely this child would require more attention and monitoring but no different from other small kids. I’ve had a child with Down syndrome in my class for the last 6 months and his mother was impressed that he’s able to do things in my class that he will not in the special education program he’s currently in part time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I remember a little girl in my program was so quiet when I first started. Now she’s learning how to say my name I was so touched. She happens to have twin brother in the class who is also very quiet but his little “pls” melts my heart every single time. I also love when the kids in my class call me Rae- Rae, a nickname I hated growing up has become something I love hearing from them.
