I volunteer at my church with special needs kiddos. I also do some occasional date night babysitting with kiddos ages newborn-11 years old. Last year I also took part in teaching little kids how to read at my old school elementary school.

I enjoy reading with children, taking them to the park, playing dress up, teaching kids basic sign language, making up dances and anything and everything else their little imaginations want to do!

The most important part of being a nanny is forming genuine connections with kids AND parents! You become a part of someone’s family and it’s very important to me that families feel comfortable and safe with me in their home and around their children!
My experience with special needs children...
I previously nannied for a family with 2 kids one of which was an autistic little boy age 2. I also volunteer weekly in the special needs ministry at my church with kiddos aging from 3-9 with down syndrome, autism, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a nanny was the first time I met my nanny families new born at the hospital and was able to be the one to introduce her to her big sister.
