More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and I have also volunteered to care for children for family and friends over the years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
are sports, arts and crafts, video games or board games, and really any type of made of game the children come up with. I enjoy nature and walking, so that is also something I can incorporate the children into if that is something they’re interested in. I love beauty as well, so we can play in makeup, paint our nails and toes, style our hair and clothes, do skincare and more. My overall goal is to have fun and include activity into the day. Of course all within reason!
The most important part about being a nanny...
is showing up however you’re needed and being family to those you care for. Growing and sharing every moment with the family when you’re present and always putting the children first. Safety is a priority and is really important when you’re in charge of taking care of others. I thrive to create an environment where all parties are comfortable and satisfied with the care I provide.
My experience with special needs children...
has mostly been in the hospital setting with children specifically with ASD and a few other disorders/delays. I have had the opportunity to learn strategies and coping techniques to better support these children. I have also worked alongside a behavioral team as well in my time working in the hospital and that has been a plus. I am open to learning about more special needs to better assist the children I am taking care of.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I honestly haven’t yet found my favorite nannying moment but I hope to soon! I hope to make a positive impact in every family that I have the opportunity to get to know and I hope for the same in return. I don’t think i’ll have a favorite moment because every moment will be different and special in its own way.
