The most important part about being a nanny...
Visiting little Red at school when he was having a hard time controlling his emotions. The plan was to bring him home, instead I walked in, told him how happy I was to see him, he ran to me and hugged me, I held him in my arms for 10 minutes. He just needed reassurance, and ended up feeling ready to rejoin his class, instead of going home. It was an all around success with such a simple solution.
