Relevant experiences where I have cared for children i’d say were babysitting for local families in the neighborhood, even my own family when they needed help. I’ve helped with after-school care, and supervising children during playtime and daily routines. My responsibilities mostly included preparing simple meals and snacks, assisting with homework, organizing fun activities like arts and crafts or games, maintaining a safe environment, and helping with bedtime routines when needed. These experiences have helped me develop patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to keep children engaged and well cared for.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts (im a big art girl myself, i can paint all day), drawing, playing games, reading stories, and spending time outdoors when the weather allows. I also enjoy helping with educational activities like homework, puzzles, and learning games that keep kids engaged while supporting their development. I like creating a fun, positive environment where children can be creative, active, and feel comfortable expressing themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure children feel safe, supported, and cared for while their parents are away. It’s about being someone they can trust, keeping them engaged with fun and positive activities, and paying close attention to their needs. Building a strong relationship with the children and maintaining good communication with parents is what helps create a happy and comfortable environment for everyone! :)

My experience with special needs children has mainly been within my family.And at a very young age, Through this experience, I’ve learned the importance understanding, and providing a supportive environment for children with different needs. I’m comfortable adapting to routines, being attentive to each child’s individual needs, and creating a safe and caring space where they feel supported and included.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when I helped a child I was caring for complete a small art project they were really excited about. We spent time drawing and coloring together, and seeing how proud they were of what they made was such a rewarding moment. I love moments like that where children feel encouraged, creative, and happy, and it reminds me why I enjoy working with kids so much.
