A little bit about me

My name is Rebecca and I was born in VT, though I have spent the past decade in IL and NM. I've worked PT and on-call since 2008, and from 2012 through 2019 I worked as a FT House Manager for a family of six. I have a Psych degree and took a variety of child development classes.

When it comes to childcare, I believe strongly in love, support, communication, and establishing boundaries. Children often learn best through play, and as a result I encourage developmentally appropriate activities at all ages and enjoy creatively incorporating them into the routine in a way that makes them fun. Consistency is key and I am comfortable upholding household rules and being firm when necessary. I welcome spending time outside during all seasons, love planning fun activities, and do my best to encourage curiosity and lots of reading while attempting to capitalize on teachable moments as they arise (more often than not!).
