For me. I personally like exploring so if I get permission from parents, I would do fun scavenger hunts or take walks to the parks with the child I watch. I also love doing quiet activities, such as coloring, painting, story time, etc... I also love baking and I think baking is a great way to get closer with kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being aware of what the child needs or wants in order to make them happy. I did not master children's body language, but I think knowing or feeling how the child is feeling is the most important part in babysitting in order to make them feel understood and safe. For me, I personally try to earn the child's trust first before moving onto the next step, so that when I play with the child, they don't feel uncomfortable.
