The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and caring relationship with both the child and family.
With my background in psychology and experience working with people with disabilities, I’ve learned how important it is to meet each child where they’re at — to understand their individual needs, personalities, and ways of communicating.
When a child feels safe, understood, and supported, that’s when they really grow and thrive, and that’s the kind of environment I always aim to create.

My experience with special needs children...
I worked for BC Easter Seals as a summer camp counsellor and coordinator for 4 years. I worked with children with physical and intellectual disabilities aged 6-18.
I provided 24/7 care ensuring their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs are met. I made sure they were safe, having fun, and feeling celebrating for being who they are!
I went on to be a camp coordinator where I shifted my focus to overseeing all camp activities and created sensory programs for different age groups and needs.
