During Covid I especially became a sitter for a child I once cared for at a center I worked at. In fact I've babysat most of the kids I've worked with. Very honored to have my parents trust.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art! I love art. I love colors and I love how you can do art with nature. Ex: in Montessori they teach us we don't necessarily need a paint brush to paint. We can go outside and get a stick or flower, etc and use that as a painting utensil.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is.... becoming family. As I stated earlier this is my passion and I strive to always make a positive connection, not only with the kid or kids but with the patents/guardian. I want absolute trust.
My experience with special needs children...
I've had the pleasure working with 2 autistic kids. They are so smart and talented, an if people took time with such kids they'd learn this too. One kid, no one would entertain except one day I took the initiative and simply rolled a pool ball to him and he excitedly rolled it back and from there we would roll each pool table ball in any hole, and that simple gesture made him happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment would have to be readin books during bedtime. I love reading and I always make each story come to life and the stories are so good my kid wants me to read that same book all the time, lo.l.
