Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a daycare center in Decorah for just over two years. I was a part time teacher in the infant classroom (6 weeks- 1 year). From working at the childcare center, many families have gotten to know me and have asked me to be their in-home babysitter as well! I also babysat a little boy with down syndrome, starting in just 8th grade.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love getting outside! I believe fresh air, even just a walk, is so healthy for growing children. The fresh air definitely helps children reset on those harder days! I also love doing fun crafts with the children.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for multiple children with special needs. I have experience with children with down syndrome and spinal muscular atrophy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My absolute favorite part of working with children is watching them grow and reach milestones. As an infant teacher, watching the child learn to roll, sit, crawl, walk, is one of my favorite parts about growing children. I also love getting outside and going for walks!
