"Rickia truly goes above and beyond as she is naturally a self-starter. She uplifts and encourages me during challenging times and provides afternoons of laughter and fun for my 18-month-old. Her reliability, compassion, and attentiveness shine in every interaction. Whether she’s offering a listening ear, stepping in to help without being asked, or engaging with my child in creative and nurturing ways, Rickia demonstrates a rare combination of kindness, initiative, and integrity. I wholeheartedly recommend her for any opportunity that calls for dedication, empathy, and a positive spirit. Anyone would be lucky to have Rickia in their corner."

"To Whom It May Concern, Kia Daisley worked with my family from 2014 to 2019, caring for my 3 children and supporting our household. She managed drop-offs, pick-ups, meal prep, light housekeeping, and homework help, all while ensuring my kids felt safe and loved. She planned enriching summer activities, supervised birthday parties, and played a vital role in potty training, early development, and emotional support. Kia helped my children learn to walk, talk, sing, and cook—building their skills and confidence. Her love and consistency left a lasting impact, and my children still speak of her with great affection. Kia is experienced, nurturing, and deeply committed. Any family would be lucky to have her. The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny, for me, is watching children blossom into their unique personalities. Every child is so different, and it’s a joy to witness their growth not just physically, but emotionally and developmentally. From helping a baby take their first steps to teaching them how to clap, assisting with speech support, or simply hearing them ask for me when they need comfort—those are the moments that stay with me.

Being a consistent, loving presence in a child’s life during these foundational years is such an honor. I don’t take it lightly. Whether it's cheering on their milestones or helping them navigate tough moments with patience and encouragement, I find deep purpose in showing up and making a positive impact every day.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience includes working with children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, hearing and vision loss, epilepsy and autism spectrum disorders. I take a patient, compassionate, and individualized approach to each child’s needs, helping them feel safe, supported, and celebrated. I’m skilled at following routines, implementing behavior strategies, and working closely with families to maintain consistency and structure.

Whether I’m supporting learning through play, assisting with schoolwork, preparing meals, or providing gentle redirection, I always bring calm energy, creativity, and love into each home. I also offer light housekeeping, pet care, and am travel-ready if needed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

was helping a 4-month-old baby named Chandler transition to bottle feeding when her mom returned to work from maternity leave. Chandler had a very sensitive gag reflex that made latching and sucking extremely difficult for her—feeding time was more frustrating than comforting.

With gentle patience, prayer, and guidance from her lactation specialist, I committed two full weeks to helping her through the transition. I remained consistent, followed her cues, and created a calm, supportive environment during feedings. Eventually, Chandler was able to latch comfortably and take her bottle with ease, even when mom wasn’t around.

That experience reminded me how powerful consistency, compassion, and teamwork with parents can be. Helping Chandler gain that comfort and independence was incredibly rewarding, and it’s a moment I’ll always carry with me in my heart.
