To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a secure, respectful, and joyful relationship with the child and their family. Children thrive when they feel seen, heard, and supported. As a nanny, I see myself not just as a caregiver, but as a consistent, positive presence in a child’s life—someone who helps them feel confident, safe, and celebrated.

While I haven’t yet had the opportunity to work one-on-one with children who have special needs, I’m open, patient, and eager to learn. The look on their face went from frustration to pure excitement, and in that moment, I realized how powerful patience and encouragement can be.
