I have been a full-time supplemental teacher at a preschool, I started in the 2s-3s class and now I work predominately with the 3s-4s. I have held several volunteering positions for children, such as the Family Promise rehousing organisation, where I played basketball with kids. I provided hourly childcare for various church and synagogue services and I've led story-time at libraries.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Blanket forts, storytime, nature walks, dance and yoga time, puzzles, arts and crafts, and cookie baking. I love coming up with fun Activity-specific songs, and I have an abundance of resources from working in a preschool.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a toddler with diabetes, tracking carb intake and insulin dosage, and keeping a monitor within 20 feet of the child at all times. I have cared for one infant that was born prematurely with cerebral palsy, and a child with severe ADHD, implementing resources and practices given to me by the child's occupational therapist.
