A little bit about me

I have always gravitated towards employment offering work with children, as this brings me great joy ! The families I have worked for have become my friends, and I am fortunate to have many happy memories with them. I would like to continue my work as a Nanny/household manager and hope to find a family that feels I am the right fit for them and their children. I have a sweet, patient personality and love to bring laughter into each day. In 2002 I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with Queen's University of Charlotte, and have a sound understanding of child development. I couldn't imagine ever raising my voice with a child, and if behavior in a child is a little off I have found positive reinforcement & encouragement to be effective in turning a down mood into a happy mood. I value education, and enjoy assisting children with homework assignments and school projects. If your home needs managing and a clean maintenance routine I am quite accustomed to this, and enjoy organizing / cleaning homes. In the past, I have assisted a single father with grocery shopping and entire management of his household, and pride myself at being proficient in these areas. I hope to find the right family , and can committ 3 + years to a Nanny position.
