I was a Nanny for 2 girls,ages 9 and 11 until last December when the family moved! I helped w their home schooling studies n assignments. Also have cared for many infants from birth up! Have also cared for special needs infants n preemies.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love reading so I njoy reading 2 them. Also njoy Nature so taking walks n going 2 the beach are right up my alley! I njoy teaching nursery rhymes,singing n dancing w them. Teaching age appropriate things. Just playing n cuddling sometimes are also necessary.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Providing the love n care 4 the child just like you would your own children! Making sure they are safe n clean n fed while they are in your care! Making them feel safe n loved n creating fun times for them!
My experience with special needs children...
I cared 4 a preemie that was on oxygen n she also had a feeding tube for a while. I've cared for babies that were born drug addicted n had FAS. I'm very compassionate n patient! I give my all when caring for special children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was a Nanny for an Autistic Lil boy who was mostly non verbal! 1 day I was reading 2 him n he suddenly pointed 2 the book and said.. that's a dog! And it was!! Every day I tried 2 get him 2 speak at least 1 word n within a few months he was trying his best to read along with me 2 his fave book...The Pokey Little Puppy! I couldn't have been happier that he was finally opening up n it was because I took the time 2 draw him out
