More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For many years, I cared for children in my home while raising my own family. One of the children I cared for remained with me from just 8 weeks old until age 5. In total I cared for up to three children at a time while maintaining structured routines, educational activities, meal preparation, and attentive daily care.
I was also a preschool assistant teacher for 4 year olds for a year.
My experience has given me strong skills in infant and child care, multitasking, organization, communication with parents, and maintaining calm and consistency in busy environments. I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow, and feel supported.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, laugh, and feel supported. Some of my favorite activities to do with children include arts & crafts, baking simple treats together, outdoor play and nature walks, reading stories, imaginative play, board games, and helping with age-appropriate learning activities. I also enjoy creating little routines and traditions, like dance parties, seasonal crafts, or special “helper” activities in the kitchen, that make children feel included and excited.
Most importantly, I love encouraging creativity, confidence, kindness, and lots of smiles along the way!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and dependable environment where children feel secure, supported, and encouraged to grow. I believe children thrive when they feel cared for, understood, and able to have fun while also learning important life skills. Building trust with both the children and their parents is very important to me, and I take pride in being someone families can rely on every day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a little boy I cared for grow from an 8-week-old baby into a happy, confident little boy ready for kindergarten. Being part of his daily routine for so many years allowed me to build a close bond with him and his family. I loved celebrating all of the little milestones along the way — first words, learning new skills, fun outings, crafts, and seeing his personality grow. It was incredibly rewarding knowing I helped provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where he could thrive.
I also absolutely love the simple everyday moments - dance parties in the kitchen, hearing a child laugh uncontrollably over something silly, reading the same favorite book for the hundredth time, or seeing how proud they are after learning something new. I really enjoy building strong relationships with children and creating a fun, safe environment where they feel loved and comfortable being themselves.

Retired social worker for children in foster care and adults in need of protection due to disability. Also a permanent elementary schoolteacher for a year. CPR and first aid training several times over the past 15 years of being a full time nanny and in recent years, a babysitter for a few families simultaneously. I am still in contact with 9 of my past charges, seeing those living locally for birthdays and holidays and occasionally babysitting thought they have outgrown regular babysitting. I am energetic, fun loving, and engaging.
